::::::I am working on other projects now (mainly, Hitchhiker Road Guides on digihitch, but will check with you in a few months to see how we can maybe work together or at least share more ideas on a hitchhiker mapping project for the global community. ::::::: I contacted the guys from hitchbase, and will contact some more owner of smaller hitching databases, to see, wether they want to work together with us. My idea is to have a common pool if data for hitchbase, hitchwiki and liftershalte and maybe some more. As far as I see, you don't have no such data on digihitch, but I'm sure, there are enough other things that could be standardised and exchanged :) --MrTweek 15:41, 12 December 2006 (CET)

:::::::: On digihitch we have truckstops mapped on many US pages (Arizona, for one) and plan to offer this data and similar stuff through an xml feed soon. I'm still working on a new submission form for city exit points and other hitchhiking sites where digihitch users can enter coordinates. If you have ideas for other areas of digihitch that can be fed, let me know!
:Looking forward to contributing more in the months ahead. Good job so far!
:Teppo Moisio is the originator of the hitchhiking wiki at hitchhikingguide.org and also one of the founders of Liftari.org, a Finnish hitchhiking website. Teppo has had some great things to say about the purpose of a hitchhiking wiki. I do recommend you speak with him and share ideas. He would be very glad to see you making such great use of the concept! Salman 12:24, 11 December 2006 (CET)

Hitchhiking Zine
Hey Salman.
I was wondering if you had any objections to parts of digihitch being included in the Hitchhiking Zine. I'm sure you've already checked it out. Some countries (like Belgium, for example) don't have a lot of content here so for some sections I'd like to use digihitch content, as well as other resources that I am gathering now. I'd give credit of course, as I will for everything in the zine. It's also non-profit. I'm planning to start a publishing project soon and I'm going to release copies over that if I can, but I am only going to charge for supplies and shipping as well as include a free download-and-print version. If that's okay with you, let me know. Thanks a lot. Zac<small>talk</small> 05:09, 9 March 2007 (CET)

Categories
Hi! Your user page category has been changed to Category:Hitchhikers in the United States because from now on this (along with the old Category:Hitchhikers) will be a standard categorization for hitchhikers on hitchwiki.org (see this discussion here for the reasons of doing so). If for some reason you don't want to be categorized by country, feel free to delete country category on your page leaving only a standard Category:Hitchhikers. We hope you don't mind, though.

Happy hitching,

The hitchwiki team
